Alex Prokop
Alex Prokop is a civic technologist and software engineer who specializes in modernization projects and in building efficient, respectful government digital services. He has led teams in high-profile efforts like the rebuilding of HealthCare.gov and implementing major VA benefits legislation.
His last role was at a government digital services startup called Nava. As the first employee, he helped the company scale to 150+ and held several roles including tech lead, engineering manager, and software architect. He believes that government will be better able to confront its most pressing challenges when expert technologists hold more seats at the policymaking table. He has a BA in philosophy from NYU.
