Jasmine suarez
Jasmine is an experienced Federal IT Project Manager, Contract Technical Monitor, and IT Security and Implementation researcher. She is skilled in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. She is also a supporter and practitioner of Agile methodologies, and believes in leveraging an Agile mindset and capabilities within the public sector as the nation navigates the current digital revolution. She previously supported the government as both a federal employee and federal subcontractor for initiatives that delivered mission-essential and mission-enabling capabilities for IT infrastructure deployments and releases. She collaborates with stakeholders, technical teams, and SMEs to produce secure, innovative solutions that strengthen, protect, and transform critical and essential infrastructure. She spearheads requirement analysis gathering and analyzes risk considerations, while creating high-level technical specifications, use, and test cases for large-scale multimillion-dollar government enterprise projects. In addition to her technical and business acumen, Jasmine is completing her Master of Science in IT Management, with a specialization in Cybersecurity. She is passionate about software supply chain security and opportunities to bolster collaborative relations between industry and government in the development of SBOM solutions and vulnerability management tools within these solutions, preparing for post-quantum cryptography, and supporting policy for the future of critical infrastructure, such as cybersecurity for medical devices. Her technical background is in IT management, data management, federal acquisitions, and security management.
Jasmine is serving the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC) working on multiple issues, including cybersecurity, AI, defense tech procurement, and federal IT modernization.
