Indri Adisoemarta

Indri Adisoemarta is a data scientist, researcher, and chemical engineer passionate about using data and AI to strengthen America’s infrastructure and energy resilience. She has worked across sectors including semiconductor technology, energy, and climate resilience. She holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is pursuing a Master’s in Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

As a researcher at UC Berkeley, Indri developed machine learning models to predict wildfire risk for structures in the wildland-urban interface, collaborating with first responders to integrate data science into emergency operations. Previously, as a data scientist at Intel, she built models that optimized semiconductor manufacturing processes and saved engineering and business teams millions of dollars. She also mentored students through Minds Matter, a non-profit supporting college access for students from low-income families.

Indri plans to apply her expertise in data science, artificial intelligence, and engineering to inform policy on AI infrastructure, semiconductors, energy resilience, and AI model transparency. She is committed to advancing policies that promote the ethical use of technology while maximizing societal benefit.
