In 2016, Jackson was studying Business Administration, Information Systems, and Computer Science at Fordham University. Jackson was planning on a career in the private sector where he could leverage my programming abilities along with his business acumen to achieve success in socially innovative ventures. Jackson’s interests pivoted towards cybersecurity because he was ignited by the possibility to protect the United States against future cyber-attacks. After Fordham, Jackson began working for the FBI and enrolled in a Master of Science in Information Security Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated in May 2020 and received a certificate in Cyber Forensics and Incident Response from the Software Engineering Institute.

Jackson is now beginning his journey with TechCongress where he hopes to be an agent of change and improve the nation’s cybersecurity posture. The 2016 election is over, but cybersecurity remains in the public eye. Jackson hopes to make sure it’s ready for its next appearance!

Jackson is serving with the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Majority staff supporting on issues relating to national security and cybersecurity.
