Aaron Stout
Aaron Stout is a United States Air Force veteran that recently earned his Bachelor of Arts in information science from Columbia University. At Columbia, Aaron's studies centered on the cross-section between computer science, its social implications, and the laws and policies created as a result. Aaron has several years of tech experience that spans the gamut, from telephone technical support and IT to cyber intelligence at the national security level.
Prior to returning to academia, Staff Sergeant Stout was an active duty Airman and cyber-intelligence analyst with the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF). As a member of one of the nation's 133 cyber teams charged with safeguarding the country, Staff Sergeant Stout gained intimate knowledge of the structure and workings of the intelligence community.
As one of the founding members of his cyber team, Aaron saw firsthand the creation of a team and the justifications of its mission. Aaron identified a need for more technically-minded policymakers through that process, and it is that need that drives him today.
Aaron is serving with Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and working on issues pertaining to intelligence, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity.
