Colin aamot
Colin Aamot is a United States Army veteran that served in both conventional and Special Operations units aligned to Europe and the Middle East. Prior to the military, Colin worked for Logos as a Front-End Developer and Technologist while supporting multiple brands and product lines. Most recently, he worked on building and implementing synthetic internet builds and digital ranges in support of Special Operations Forces training exercises, while previously working on issues pertaining to precision influence, information warfare (IW), coordination of information related capabilities (IRC’s), and propaganda tracking and analysis in his role as a Counter-Terrorism Information Operations Planner. Beginning his military career in the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Colin was selected for the Special Operations Forces Psychological Operations Regiment in 2016, where he studied the effects of information warfare, emerging technologies, propagation of misinformation/disinformation, digital privacy and targeting, and the nexus of complex legal and humanitarian issues in the Middle East.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Global Security Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Colin is passionate about the effects of information warfare, digital privacy, misinformation/disinformation network analysis, human rights, and innovation in support of national security objectives.
