Kweku Kwegyir-Aggrey

Kweku Kwegyir-Aggrey is a researcher who studies the challenges of evaluating AI systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Brown University and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Maryland. He has worked with leading technology companies such as IBM and Adobe, while also contributing to projects with civil society groups like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Broadly, he is interested in research problems at the intersection of technology and society. Prior to his TechCongress tenure, Kweku’s research focused on measuring sociotechnical aspects of AI and machine learning systems. As an AI Security Fellow, Kweku worked with the Center for AI Safety and Innovation to develop techniques that improve the precision of evaluations of frontier AI systems. This work blends his interest in developing an equitable technological future with exciting problems at the frontier of computation.
