La Chiara Landrum
La Chiara Landrum is a data scientist, cybersecurity researcher, and applied analytics professional whose work bridges financial systems, healthcare innovation, and national security. She has supported mission-driven research across federal and corporate sectors, contributing to operational analytics and leading technical projects in medical data science, emergency response systems, and cybersecure financial workflows.
She holds an M.S. in Data Science and is a PhD student in Applied Computational Sciences at Meharry Medical College, where her research centers on cybersecurity for medical and financial systems. Her earlier career includes extensive work in financial analytics, pricing strategy, and data-driven operational intelligence across healthcare, manufacturing, and service-based industries.
Most recently, La Chiara served as a project data scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) through the Visiting Faculty Research Program (VFRP). She also teaches, mentors emerging technologists, and advises on projects involving data science education and cybersecurity readiness.
La Chiara now plans to use her background in cybersecurity, data science, financial systems, and medical analytics to inform technology policy. She is passionate about AI governance, digital health security, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, and believes that sound policy can drive innovation while safeguarding the people and systems most impacted by technological change.
