Lorelei is the founder or director of six projects and organizations in Washington, D.C. with the purpose of building a more inclusive and informed democracy.  She currently leads the Resilient Democracy coalition--a group of organizations working to make sure that Congress succeeds in the 21st century.  Before coming to DC, Lorelei was with the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation. A civil-military expert, she then led "Security for a New Century" a bipartisan study group for the House and Senate.  She has worked with hundreds of women leaders across the USA--helping them build and communicate national security platforms that reflect the needs of our modern world. Lorelei attended Grinnell College, Stanford University and the Air Command and Staff College of the US Air Force.  She has co authored two books, both free and available online.
