Nathaniel "Nate" Owens
Nathaniel “Nate” Owens is a former associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, supporting U.S. Coast Guard Intelligence during deployment of its first computer vision model upgrade across the aviation fleet. He also led emerging technology test events with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Marine Corps, and Department of Energy National Laboratories.
An Army veteran, he previously served in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and counternarcotic operations. During active duty, he was detailed to Customs and Border Protection for the 2023 border mission. His policy interests focus on emerging technology for national security, homeland security, intelligence, and strategic deterrence. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University and is completing an M.A. in International Security at George Mason University, with graduation expected in May 2026.
