Where They're Serving: Placements for our 2021 Congressional Innovation Scholars

After meeting with several Congressional Offices, this year’s Congressional Innovation Scholars (our largest class yet!) have selected where they will be spending the next 8 months!

Meet our 2021 class of Congressional Innovation Scholars:

  • Jake Parker is serving with Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and supporting issues of blockchain and data privacy vis-a-vis China.

  • Alice Hau is serving with the minority staff on the Senate Commerce Committee under Ranking Member Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) and supporting a variety of tech issues including privacy and cross-border data flows.

  • Blake Randolph is serving with Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and supporting a variety of tech issues including fintech and space and science.

  • Marissa Gerchick is serving with the majority staff on the Senate Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee under Chair Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) on issues of algorithmic discrimination, data privacy, and consumer rights.

  • Eleanor Tursman is serving with Rep. Lori Trahan (D-MA-3) and supporting on issues of privacy, health tech, and biometrics.

  • Jake Tibbetts is serving with Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA-6) and supporting his House Armed Services Committee portfolio, which consists of the strategic forces and cyber subcommittees.

  • Aaron Stout is serving with Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI-8) and supporting a variety of tech issues.

  • David Cook is serving with Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA-50) and supporting his Judiciary and House Foreign Affairs Committee portfolio.

  • Joshua Kravitz is serving with the House Oversight Government Operations Subcommittee under Chair Gerald Connolly (D-VA) and supporting on issues related to federal IT procurement and technology modernization.

  • Marley Rafson is serving with the Leadership Office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and supporting a variety of tech policy issues.
